what time do your kids go to sleep for the night? and how long do you stay up after they are sleeping? my daughter is 19 months old, and she sleeps all through the night 12 hours. i always stay up a couple hours after i put her to bed. and my son is 4 months, and lately he has been falling asleep about 8-9.

My daughter normally goes to bed around 7:30-8:30pm. My husband and I usually go to bed between 10pm and 11pm. Unfortunately, it’s 2:15am and I for the live of me can’t sleep! My daughter is 15.5 months old and she sleeps roughly until 7am-8am.

This is what we have done….All of our child’s furniture is black, so it’ll still work with your white stuff. We found black/white sheets (from Target-on Clearance), used them as curtains, just slip the sewn over end on the rod. And, bought the same sheets for their beds. We painted a solid color on the walls. Both rooms are this way & it looks gorgeous! Colored walls & black/white printed sheets. Also, another way to decorate a childs room without spending so much money is lettint the child pick out & change their pillow cases every couple months. I would paint the walls a solid color that will grow with the child, so you aren’t changing the room in a nother year…..good luck.

Our Family in the various children’s homes.
Each branch had its own style of decoration.
Two branches from the mid 1960’s are shown here.

The branch at Brackley is decorated in attractive colours, the beds are made up with attractively coloured covers and toys are allowed in the rooms.
The other bedroom is at the St Leonards branch, and is decorated in the famous two tone type colour scheme that the NCH often used around the entire building, often in gloss paint on the lower section, it stopped finger marks on the walls, the houses were often decorated in different colours around the various rooms, but most of the shades were blue, grey or green with a cream on the upper part.
The bedroom has is standard rather basic style of bed and bedclothes, and there is a lack of toys in the room, an object like a toy helmet would not normally be allowed to remain in the bedroom. Many of the flats in the Harpenden branch were also decorated in a similar fashion.

My kids are gone every weekend and while they are gone my dog uses the bathroom on their bed.Could this be her way of showing that she is mad at them for leaving her?

You’re dog needs to be disciplined. Hire a doggy trainer or something. I think maybe the dog is angry at them when they leave and that could be the reason why he poops on their bed.

My son will be 2 next month and I find that some people think its really odd that hes not in the big boy bed yet. Hes never tried to climb out of the crib or anything. My fear would be him falling out or not going to bed and just playing with his toys instead. I think hes really young to even begin thinking about it. Like I said- Hes not even 2 yet! When did your kids go into their big kid beds?

the older they get the harder the transition will be. i put my daughter in her big girl bed a day after her first birthday and it was so easy. you should have done the transition months ago because yes 2 is old for a crib

My son wets the bed alot and I always have extra bedding ready to go. I usually dry up the wet spot, use lysol and febreeze but noticed the bed smells so nasty I was about to puke, so I flipped the mattress over (pillow top mattress) till I figure out how to get the smell out. He has a bed protector but when it gets wet, I just put a sheet on it and wash the protector. Any advise appreciated.
He wears pull ups but he takes his diaper off all the time during the night and pees in the bed. he likes sleeping naked lol

Right now, we are living in a two bedroom apartment. My 14 year old daughter and my 3 year old son have to share a room. I was looking at getting a twin bed for my son, but I was thinking maybe bunk beds? A full/twin combination? I thought this would help the space situation.

Honestly your 14 year old daughter should not be sharing a room with a 3 year old brother. Pick the largest bedroom and put the three year old in your room. She needs privacy at this age and here it is illegal for brother and sisters to share rooms. You can create a corner bedroom for the toddler within your bedroom allowing your daughter time with her friends and alone time as needed in the delicate teen years. You can make or purchase dressing screens/room dividers so you can have some privacy.

If you have any sewing talent you can always buy one and cut it down to fit the crib — but then buy three so that when baby grows and you put him/her in a twin bed you have matching sets as they may have been discontinued by the time.
